Theatre has been at the heart of Saleh Alavizadeh’s artistic practice for more than a decade. As a playwright and director, he has created and staged numerous works, developing a body of theatre rooted in character, dialogue, dark humour and contemporary social experience.
He was Iran’s best-selling playwright for two consecutive years, with his plays widely performed across the country. He continues his theatre practice in France, writing and directing new work for the stage.
